Sacha Guitry is the last of those witty men, who, among the imprudent actors and the desperate philosophers, illuminated 20th century Paris. They are an endangered species, but will never be forgotten… As Sacha would say, ”Never that!”. He would respond to his followers, which he adored, with a new play. To his detractors, he would say: ”If those who speak ill of me knew what i thought of them, they would have far more to say”.
