Since 1847 the idea had been formulated by Jacques Boucher Crèvecoeur de Perthes when he found cut flints. Nobody believe in his discovery. He found the tool but he wondered where is the Man ? Boucher de Perthes has opened a new way of research : the high Antiquity of the human being. Prehistory is born.
