Have fairies disappeared because we do not believe in them (or not enough)? Eighty years ago, a strange occurrence in England led to a heated debate on the existence of fairies. Here, our aim was to repeat Conan Doyle’s investigation with contemporary witnesses to try and answer our initial question: can we and should we believe in fairies?
