It’s fairy true

”Every time a child says ‘I don’t believe in fairies’, there is a little fairy somewhere that falls down dead”. We all remember the words from Peter Pan. Have fairies disappeared because we do not believe in them (or not enough)? Eighty years ago, a strange occurrence in England led to a heated debate on the existence of fairies. Here, our aim was to repeat Conan Doyle’s investigation with contemporary witnesses to try and answer our initial question: can we and should we believe in fairies?
